![]() LavaWorldThis team project had us creating a single player story level. Our scenario left the player stuck on a planet after an emergency landing. With no fuel, the player has to trek across the alien world to find an alternative. The map features puzzles, traps, ambushes, guards and lots of animation. I handled the story design, large parts of the level design, all of the scripting and animations (Kismet) and the lighting. I also added the details and personality to most of the objects. | ![]() LavaWorld 2This is the shrine the player is trying to reach. On the platform is an energy source that the player can use to fuel their ship. | ![]() LavaWorld 3There is no way to cross the lava until the player solves the puzzles and gets the teleporter working. Once they arrive on the single pillar, the other pillars slowly rise from the lava. | ![]() LavaWorld 4This is a long shot of the temple the player is trying to reach. You can't tell in the pictures, but there is a harsh wind that cuts across the sky, adding to the isolated atmosphere of the planet. |
